Lehigh Carbon Community College provides an opportunity for students with learning experiences outside of the college environment to gain college credits toward their program of study. If the course objectives in your program match learning you have achieved previously through another means, you can apply to have that learning evaluated by a faculty member for credit.

Course Credit is Granted for:

  • Prior formal education (College, Business, or Technical School)
  • Work or Volunteer Experience
  • Military Training
  • Professional Training
  • Lifelong Learning

Requirements:

  • Student must be admitted to LCCC, registered for courses, and declared a major
  • Credit only granted for courses that are applicable to the student’s program/degree
  • 18 course credits total is the maximum amount of credits that can be awarded towards a program/degree
  • Student must complete the Prior Learning Assessment Application and pay a $125 non-refundable processing fee per course
